SC – Signal Conditioner Digital Transducer
Digitalizes values of temperature, tap position, current, voltage and contacts by generating serial outputs (DNP3.0/Modbus) plus analog and contact communication. Digitalizes alarm/trip contact status from intelligent SCA High-Speed Relay outputs.
Transducers are applied in substations and high voltage and industrial plants to convert signals of different nature – like temperature, AC or DC voltage, AC or DC current, current mA loops, dry or energized contact status and tap position, among others – into standardized outputs for transmission to online data acquisition, supervision and/or monitoring systems.
Treetech’s SC transducer performs this task digitally by converting input signals into programmable analog outputs such as 0-1 mA, 4-20mA and others, and into RS485 serialcommunication with open protocols, as well as providing output contacts for signalling and alarms.
Specifically developed for the severe environmental andelectromagnetic conditions of high-voltage substations, the SC withstands extreme temperatures, transientovervoltages and electromagnetic interference that would harm or make inoperative similar industrial class equipment. The SCs main characteristics are:
- Models available for measurement of up to 6 temperature sensors, 4 AC or DC voltages, 4 AC or DC currents, 12 current loops in mA, status of up to 12 dry or 4 energized contacts and 3 tap positions;
- Digitalization of alarm/trip contact status from Treetech’s High-Speed SCA Relay intelligent output bus;
- Up to 4 user programmable analog looped outputs (e.g.: 4-20 mA);
- A RS485 serial port with DNP3.0 or Modbus RTU open protocols;
- Two alarm/signalling contacts with user programmable operation logics;
- Entry signal and transducer self-diagnostics with signalling contact;
- Universal auxiliary supply between 38 and 265 Vdc / Vac, 50 / 60 Hz;
- Galvanic insulation between inputs, outputs and power supply.
